Shannon Courtenay (b.1994) is a multidisciplinary artist born and working in Aotearoa New Zealand.
She began working with clay assisting Anthony Morris in his Matakana studio while studying Fine Arts at Elam. After completing a Bachelors in Fine Arts, Courtenay moved to Cardrona Valley to set up her own studio to continue her practise.
She now works out of an idyllic studio that sits on the Kind Farm animal sanctuary in the stunning Cardrona Valley. The studio is a short walk from the Cardrona River which is a central theme in Shannon’s sculptural work.
